ABOUT ABOUT

In addition to our regular blacksmithing workshops, this June 4th Cloverdale Forge along with the Manitoba Craft Council will be hosting their first annual Forge and Forum

Forge and Forum will be full of information and tips that blacksmiths at any stage of learning can use to improve their skills. This year the theme is traditional and contemporary joinery techniques and the demonstrator is Robb Martin (http://www.thak.ca). Robb started his blacksmithing career at the age of 18 and has been hammering away ever since. His shop, Thak Ironworks, is located in Floradale, Ontario.

Early registration is $60, after May 20th the price increases to $75. The registration fee includes early morning refreshments and lunch.

Event Schedule:

8:30 - 9:00    Participant check-in
9:00 – 12:00  Demonstration
12:00 - 1:00  Lunch
1:00 - 5:00    Demonstration
5:00 – 6:00    Conversation and Fellowship

Safety is important to us so we ask that participants bring and wear safety glasses and hearing protection. In addition we encouraged attendees to bring a lawn chair to use during the demonstration.

To help folks get started in blacksmithing we encourage tailgate sales. Bring along any tools and/or equipment you would like to try to sale during the day, we will have a parking area dedicated to folks with items to sale.

Email [email protected] if you have any additional questions about the event.
